The Board’s current attendance policy is included for your reference. The amended policy would include:

More  than  ten  (10)  consecutive  or  fifteen  (15)  unexcused  absences  by  a  student under the age of eighteen (18) renders a student ineligible to retain a driver's permit or license, or obtain such if of age.

Staff Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the proposed attendance policy on first reading.
